Ancient neolithic stones

Description

3 ancient beads of 15 to 19 mm.diameter x 9 to 12 mm. Hole 2 mm.
Neolithic agate/carnelian, excavated in Mali and traded in Africa. Color light orange.
This semi-precious quartz stone ranges in color from sleek yellow-orange to rich, near reddish-orange to a deep reddish-brown. It can also be anything from totally translucent to semi-opaque.
These quartz stones were found in the desert sand of Mali and they are very uniform in size with well-polished surfaces.
They were hand made with the primitive bow drilling technique.
